Staff and volunteers with the ambulance service in Norfolk have been rewarded for their hard work and commitment.
The East of England Ambulance Service has handed out its annual awards in a virtual event.
Those who received them included:
Norfolk’s Jack Walker (above) who won the Excellence in Patient Care Award for dealing with several challenging calls in his first six weeks as a qualified paramedic including cardiac arrests and severe allergic reactions
The ambulance service’s EPCR (Electronic Patient Care) team for rolling out iPads to make sure frontline staff get access to important clinical information safely and securely.
The trust’s Covid-19 leads (above) who supported shielding colleagues by arranging shopping and medication deliveries while also staying in touch with those living alone.
Tom Abell, ambulance trust chief executive, said: “Over the past eighteen months, our people have played a pivotal role in providing outstanding care for patients across the east of England. Both those on the frontline and our support staff have risen to the challenge – this event was the perfect opportunity to recognise some of their fantastic achievements and say thank you.”
