About the event

All entries will be judged by an appointed panel of judges, and a maximum of eight bands will be chosen to take part in the Grand Final Competition Day.

On a large stage each band will play a 20-minute set with a strict 20-minute turnaround time in between bands. If you run over the 20-minute set up time, this will eat into your performance time. Sound equipment will be supplied, and a sound engineer is supplied.

Once all eight bands have played their 20-minute sets the judges will announce their chosen winner, who will then be invited back on stage to play one more song in celebration. The prize awaiting the winner is a 20-minute set on the stage of Festival Too 2027 in King’s Lynn!

Further guidelines will be issued to the Finals Day bands. Throughout the whole of the competition, the judges/organisers’ decisions are final and must be accepted in good spirit by all bands. No challenge need be accepted, nor explanation need be given.

The BOTB Grand Final will be part of a music weekend in Hunstanton. Beats by the Beach will take place on the Saturday with 3 fantastic Norfolk-based acts, so be sure to make a weekend of it.

We hope all your supporters will attend to cheer you along on the day. The event will be covered heavily on Radio West Norfolk, both in the build-up and afterwards.
