
Sports clubs across part of West Norfolk can upgrade or improve their facilities after receiving Government cash.
Groups in the South West Norfolk area have received more than £78,000. Some of those benefiting include:
- More than £9,500 for goalposts and pitch maintenance equipment for the King George V Playing Field in Shouldham
- More than £4,500 for new floodlights and goalposts for Swaffham Town Football Club
- More than £4,500 for new floodlights and goalposts for the Upwell Playing Field
Commenting on the announcement, South West Norfolk MP Liz Truss said: “Access to good sports facilities helps people lead healthier lives and contributes to improving the nation’s sporting prowess. This funding is a great result for South West Norfolk and will benefit thousands of local residents who enjoy participating in or watching grassroots sport.”
