Community groups in West Norfolk can apply for help to buy equipment or upgrade buildings.
The borough council is running a scheme offering grants of Government money of between £1,000 and £5,000 to fund up to 80% of eligible costs for capital projects.
The scheme is open now and closes at 11am on Monday 11th January 2026.
Projects must benefit the wider rural community and must be completed by 31 March 2026.
To be in with a chance of getting cash, projects must improve things through buying equipment which lasts at least 12 months or money can be used for small building improvements. Examples of projects that could be supported are:
Catering equipment for a village hall to enable an expanded offer.
Gardening equipment for community allotments to maximise growing opportunities.
Tables, chairs and gazebos for community events.
New permanent play equipment.
A projector / screen for community cinema.
Community venue improvements.
Exclusions apply and more information can be found online.
