A bomb disposal team carried out a controlled explosion after an unexploded device was found in a residential area of Docking last week.
Police closed Little Lane on Thursday evening as a precaution following reports of unexploded ordnance.
Specialists attended on Friday, moved the device to a nearby field and carried out a controlled explosion.
The road reopened at about 11.30am once the scene had been made safe.
