Marie Curie – The Great Daffodil Appeal
Marie Curie the terminal illness charity has like other organisations been hit hard by the pandemic but their nurses across King’s Lynn & West Norfolk have been on the frontline throughout caring overnight for people with terminal illnesses so those who are dying can die in the comfort of their own home.
The charity’s largest fundraiser of the year has been impacted by the pandemic and all collections across the county and the rest of the UK which would usually bring in £2 million have been cancelled.
The Great Daffodil Appeal takes place in March this year if you’d like to help. There are many ways to be involved from home workers taking on a step challenge, holding a virtual collection, to a wear it yellow day, a 2 hour challenge, purchasing some of their famous daffodil badges or by doing something you choose. £20 would pay for one hour of nursing care, so whatever you can raise will be a massive help – Visit mariecurie.org.uk/daffodil
