A local fundraiser is in the middle of a charity challenge lasting throughout this year, in which she is raising funds for 12 different charities by doing a different physical challenge each month. Emma Littler from Southery has so far run a marathon, completed half a million steps in 28 days, and is currently completing 250 miles on a bike. Next month she aims to swim over 1400 lengths of a swimming pool for the Eve Appeal, which is the equivalent of swimming the English Channel.
She aimed to raise £1200 during the year so that each charity would receive £100 each but so far she’s exceeding all of her expectations and raised £750 for MacMillan, Prostate Cancer, EACH, and the British Heart Foundation.
