Mark Thompson’s Guinness World Record Attempt – The Ultimate Space Lecture

In September 2021 STEM broadcaster and author Mark Thompson will be attempting to break the Guinness World record for Longest Marathon Lecture.

As a proud Ambassador for Barnardo’s he will be raising money for this vital organisation throughout the build-up and during the attempt.

The attempt will take place at the UEA, Norwich and will form an integral part of the ever-popular annual Norwich Science Festival.

During the 2020 Norwich Science Festival Mark performed a 24 hour ‘warm-up’ lecture as part of his preparations for the 2021 attempt.
