Three-Day Platinum Jubilee Celebration at Tilney All Saints Village Hall
Tilney All Saints Village Hall will be celebrating Queen Elizabeth II’s Platinum Jubilee by holding three days of events over the bank holiday weekend from Thursday 2nd June to Saturday 4th June 2022.
Day one – Thursday 2nd June, 10:00 to 16:00: Tilney All Saints Memories Group are holding a multi-generational exhibition of local residents’ memories. The exhibition will include a map of the village with text and pictures provided by village residents in remembrance of their past life, work and leisure pursuits. The current residents of Tilney All Saints will be invited to contribute items for a time capsule to be opened at a future Jubilee (date and monarch unknown), which will then be buried within the village boundary along with the planting of a tree.
Day two – Friday 3rd June, 10:00 to 16:00: A group of talented artists and crafters from surrounding local areas have joined together to meet on a weekly basis in the village hall. They are putting together an exhibition of their work, some of which will be available for sale. To celebrate Queen Elizabeth II’s Platinum Jubilee, the group have produced a number of royal-themed paintings using different styles and media.
Refreshments will be available on both days.
Day three – Saturday 4th June, doors open at 14:15 for a 14:30 start: To conclude the Queen Elizabeth II’s Platinum Jubilee three day events, the village hall committee is hosting a Tea Party.  It goes without saying; the theme for the Tea Party will be in honour of the Queen’s celebrations and will be free for all residents of Tilney All Saints. The hall and tables will be decorated with bunting and balloons. There will be plenty of sandwiches and cakes for everyone; along with the traditional cup(s) of tea (coffee and soft drinks will be available too). Entry will be by ticket only, obtained in advance as numbers will be limited.
