Fakenham Charity Warns of Possible Closure Amid Funding Crisis

A community group in Fakenham has warned it could be forced to close as it faces a growing financial crisis.

First Focus, based on Oak Street, has issued an open letter highlighting the pressure of rising costs and uncertain funding.

The volunteer-run charity provides vital support to people across the town, offering help with loneliness, mental and physical health, unemployment and financial difficulties. It also runs a range of services including a warm hub, community fridge and creative activities.

First Focus has been supporting local residents for more than 20 years, acting as a social hub and advice centre for those in need.

However, organisers say the service receives no direct government funding and relies entirely on grants, donations and community support to stay open.

They are now warning that without additional financial help, the future of the organisation—and the support it provides to vulnerable people in the area—could be at risk.
