A West Norfolk man has completed a gruelling charity challenges by completing the London Marathon Ride London and Swim Serpentine in a wheelchair in the same year.
Mark Howard was injured while serving in the Life Guards over 30 years ago and has been using a chair since 2014.
He is raising money for a new handcycle which he can use for further fundraising having already helped the Bridge For Heroes charity raise nearly £500,000.
Mark has now raised funds for the handcycle but is not slowing up with his charity support and is hoping to be the first person to complete the 3 Peaks Challenge in a wheelchair next year.
He said: “This will be with a support team mainly from Hunstanton and District Round Table 615 after they’ve purchased a specialist wheelchair for me to do this costing £5500 after a chance meeting in a supermarket.”
