A project which helps West Norfolk health staff early in their career has won a national award.
THRIVE runs at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in King’s Lynn and aims to help future leaders develop skills and build their confidence.
It has won an award from Nursing Times for its work and the standards of training.
Helen Muncey, Head of the hospital’s Education Faculty, said: “THRIVE is built on passion and purpose – and I could not be prouder of my team, of Nicola Plaatjies and Dr Theresa Shaw, and of everyone across the Trust and NICHE who helped shape this programme. To receive national recognition is incredibly special and a powerful reminder of the difference we can make when we invest in our people.”
Pippa Street, Chief Nurse at The QEH, said: “Winning this award is a tremendous honour and showcases the exceptional commitment within our Education Faculty to supporting, empowering and retaining our early-career workforce. THRIVE helps create compassionate, confident and capable healthcare professionals – and this recognition is a testament to the hard work and vision of the whole team. We are absolutely delighted.”
