After shutting for the first time in 25 years, the long term archaeological dig running in Sedgeford had to close due to Covid.
If you’ve ever fancied trying your hand at archaeology, the Sedgeford Historical and Archaeologic Research Project is looking for volunteers, as their dig site in North West Norfolk reopens this year. The site was shut down last year because of the pandemic, but thanks to a recovery grant from Norfolk County Council, they are able to offer a limited number of places to people with no previous experience, on their Basic Excavation and Research Techniques course in July, which can be booked online.
