The countdown to the local elections on May 4 in West Norfolk are under way.
The council is reminding people to make sure they have registered to vote and also have photographic ID they can show at the polling station.
You will need to show something like a passport, driving licence, or concessionary travel pass if it has a photo on it.
If you do not have one you can apply for free ID online at voter-authority-certificate.service.gov.uk/ or by completing a paper form by 5pm on 25 April 2023.
If you can’t vote in person, you can apply for a postal or proxy vote. The deadline for new postal vote applications is 5 pm on Tuesday 18 April 2023. Changes or cancellations to existing postal, postal proxy or proxy votes is 5 pm on Tuesday, 25 April 2023.
The deadline for receipt of new applications to vote by proxy (not postal proxy or emergency proxy) at this election is 5 pm on Tuesday, 25 April 2023.
The deadline to receive emergency applications to vote by proxy at this election applied for on grounds of physical incapacity or for work/service reasons after the above deadline is 5 pm on Thursday, 4 May 2023.
