King’s Lynn-based charity The Purfleet Trust has temporarily closed its Health and Wellbeing Centre amid the third national lockdown.
The charity, which works with homeless people, closed the centre at 5pm on Friday until further notice.
In an update to supporters, chief executive Paula Hall said it was a “difficult but necessary” decision and the health and wellbeing of employees, clients, volunteers, partners and their families was of the “utmost importance”. Â
The centre, at Pathway House at Austin Fields, is also unable to accept donations, such as food, toiletries and clothing at this time.
Essential support will be offered in different ways, with clients continuing to receive housing advice, assessments, telephone calls and one-to-one counselling (by appointment only).
Telephone lines will also remain open during business hours.
