A new report says major work may be needed for some West Norfolk sea defences.
The document suggests some long-term improvements are needed at Hunstanton Promenade, with more details to emerge in the weeks ahead.
Sandra Squire, the borough councillor responsible for Environment and Coastal, explained: “Working closely with partners, our officers at the borough council conduct regular checks of our sea defences. A recent draft report recommends additional work needed beyond our routine annual maintenance along the Hunstanton coastal defence.”
“These planned improvements will require substantial planning and involve collaboration across multiple agencies. In the coming weeks, council officers will engage directly with all relevant stakeholders to explain what we are doing and how they can support us.
“Once the final report has been received a detailed briefing will be given to all stakeholders at our Valentines Road office.”
