King’s Lynn Stars manager Rob Lyon says picking up aggregate points will be key as his side prepare for a highly competitive new season.
The PSH Environmental Stars begin their campaign with Knockout Cup clashes against Ipswich, starting away on 9 April before the return leg at the Adrian Flux Arena on 13 April.
Lyon believes this year’s league will be one of the most evenly matched in recent memory, with no clear favourites for the play-offs.
He says strong home form will be crucial, alongside picking up points across two-legged ties and aiming to secure occasional away wins.
The Stars will see new signings Max Fricke and Paco Castagna make their debuts, alongside younger riders Cooper Rushen and Jody Scott, while Jan Kvech, Ben Cook and captain Chris Harris return.
Lyon added that the squad has been built not only to compete immediately but also to improve as the season progresses.
Supporters and media will have the chance to meet the riders ahead of the first home fixture, with a pre-match event and photocall planned at the stadium on 13 April.
