Police can confirm a 42-year-old man wanted by police in connection with a serious arson in Gayton has been arrested.
Anthony Collins was arrested at an address in south London on Christmas Day (25 December 2021) and taken to King’s Lynn Police Investigation Centre for questioning.
His arrest follows a serious arson at a house in Hall Farm Road, Gayton, in the early hours of Sunday 19 December 2021.
A woman aged in her 20s, who lived in the property, fled to a neighbouring house. A man aged in his 30s who was also in the property at the time of the fire suffered spinal injuries trying to escape the fire and was taken to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital for treatment.
Anthony Collins, age 42, of Birch Tree Close, King’s Lynn, has been charged with arson with intent to endanger life, aggravated burglary, and assault.
He appeared before Norwich Magistrates’ Court yesterday (Monday 27 December 2021) and was remanded into custody until his next court appearance.
