An extra ÂŁ2.64m is available in West Norfolk to help businesses affected the Covid-19 pandemic.
It comes from a Government project which lets councils design schemes specifically for businesses that have not be eligible for help through other projects.
In West Norfolk, that means a 28 per cent reduction to eligible business rates payers on their 2021-22 bill up to a maximum of ÂŁ25,000.
It will only be available to the business that pays the rate and is only available for the days the building has been occupied.
Any eligible businesses who have already paid will get a refund of any overpaid amounts over what would be the discounted rate.
Borough council leader Stuart Dark MBE said: “This is a fantastic further opportunity for us to help 700 local businesses who have had to cope with the effects of the pandemic and it will take the total support package we have given to businesses in the borough over the past two years to well over £80million.
“We have been able to commit to reducing business rates bills for these businesses by over a quarter for the current year, meaning they can devote more of their cashflow to recovery from the impact of COVID-19.”
