Former PR and marketing expert Lesley Bambridge has been nominated as the New King’s Lynn and West Norfolk Mayor.
Brought up in West Norfolk, she started working for Jaeger in King’s Lynn before moving to the company’s London office.
A twenty-year career working in PR, advertising and London was followed by her returning to West Norfolk where she worked in marketing for King’s Lynn Festival and Arts Centre, Advertising and Promotions Manager for the Isle College in Wisbech, and helping students get an introduction to the working world through events and placements.
A councillor for 15 years, she has also volunteered for organisations including The Child Contact Centre, the Winter Night Shelter, and West Norfolk Carers.
Her chosen charities will be The Bridge for Heroes and the Purfleet Trust, both of which have helped her personally to support residents in difficult situations.
Margaret Wilkinson has been nominated as Deputy Mayor.
