The children are counting down to Christmas at Greyfirars Academy in King’s Lynn, and things are beginning to get really exciting! Earlier today (Wednesday 8th) Father Christmas paid a visit along with Radio West Norfolk’s Simon Rowe to switch on the schools Christmas tree lights.
Our very own Si was given the important job of firing them up while the children sang ‘Jingle Bells’
Pupils, Santa & Si with the tree donated by Moores Scrap
The tree was also full of fantastic decorations made by every child at the school…
As you know Santa is very busy this time of year, but even so, he stopped to help ahead of his dash around West Norfolk. Mr Claus can currently be seen daily as he visits as many villages and streets as possible. The Dash has been organised by Sarah Frost, Vice-Chair of Greyfriars Academy and will not only raise money for the school but also cancer charities, the QEH and the Food Bank.
