Open Air Film Nights are returning to King’s Lynn this summer, with three free screenings planned in Tuesday Market Place.
Organised by Discover King’s Lynn, the popular events are back for a third consecutive year after growing into a regular feature of the town’s summer calendar.
This year’s programme begins with Back to the Future on Friday 17 July, followed by Mean Girls on Friday 7 August, and Hook on Friday 4 September.
Food and drink will be available from 5pm, with each film starting at 7pm. No tickets are required, and visitors are encouraged to bring their own chairs if the limited seating provided is full.
A selection of street food and drink vendors will be attending each event. Regular traders include The Pizza Slice Guy, Reeseys Ice Cream and Rusty Krab Rum Shop, with additional food vendors changing throughout the summer. Eat Ya Fajita will attend the July screening, The Bucket List will serve loaded fries in August, and Rabbit & Run will provide freshly made flatbreads in September.
Discover King’s Lynn Manager Vicky Etheridge said the film nights had become one of the organisation’s favourite events, offering a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere in the town centre.
She also thanked King’s Lynn Cinema Club for helping secure film licences and the Borough Council of King’s Lynn and West Norfolk for providing the stage, screen and technical equipment.
