Two men charged with the murder of a 39-year-old man in Downham Market on Sunday have appeared before Norwich magistrates
Wayne Peckham, 47, and Riley Peckham, 22, who both live on Manby Close, Hilgay, near Downham Market, are accused of murdering Matthew Rodwell, from Fincham. Riley Peckham is also accused of escaping from lawful custody and assaulting an emergency worker.
The charges relate to an incident at a property in Bulrush Avenue where police were called shortly before 8pm on Sunday following reports of a disturbance.
Officers arrived to find Mr Rodwell with serious injuries and, despite the best efforts of police and paramedics, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
A Home Office post-mortem examination established the preliminary cause of death as pending further investigation.
Both Wayne Peckham and Riley Peckham were remanded in custody and will appear at Norwich Crown Court on January 27.
