Water companies must communicate with their customers in an effective and timely fashion. That was the clear message in the House of Commons after the issues around the loss of supply in King’s Lynn were raised.
North West Norfolk MP James Wild raised the issue in Parliament after many people were left without running water over the weekend.
During a debate in the House of Commons, MPs agreed water companies needed to communicate accurately and regularly with people when incidents like this happened.
Mr Wild is also holding a review meeting with the chief executive of Anglian Water to talk about the company’s response, the distribution of water, and how people were communicated with.
