Police are appealing for witnesses and dashcam footage following a collision on the A10 at South Runcton yesterday.
The incident happened at around 7am on Tuesday 7 April and involved a white Ford transit Connect travelling southbound towards Downham Market and a yellow BMW K1200 motorcycle heading northbound.
Following the collision emergency services attended and the motorcyclist, a man aged in his 50s, was airlifted to Addenbrooke’s Hospital in Cambridge. He sadly died the following day.
The van driver, a man aged in his 30s, was arrested at the scene on suspicion of causing serious injury by careless driving. He was taken to King’s Lynn Police Investigation Centre for questioning and has since been released under investigation while inquiries continue.
Officers are keen to speak to anyone who witnessed the collision or the manner of driving of either vehicle beforehand, and anyone who has dashcam footage that could help the investigation.
