The Health Secretary has been put under pressure again to confirm a new hospital for West Norfolk.
North West Norfolk MP James Wild highlighted that a decision was supposed to be made in the Spring and as Christmas approaches, people are still waiting.
Rt Hon Steve Barclay, the Health Secretary, said he knows Mr Wild’s concerns have “extensive support among parliamentary colleagues including the Rt Hon member for South West Norfolk Liz Truss who has recently added her support to the campaign. He’ll be aware we allocated £20 million this year and £30 million last year to address some of the immediate issues but we recognise it is a priority and we are working on it.”
Meanwhile Mr Wild said he will continue to raise the issue in Parliament about the need for a new hospital with ministers.
