A heritage centre at the former RAF West Raynham near Fakenham is set to become more accessible after new improvement works were approved.
The site, now run by Veterans Central, has been granted permission to install three new disability access ramps at the former station headquarters.
Volunteers have already carried out an enormous restoration effort, clocking up nearly 45,000 hours of work since 2023 to bring the once-derelict building back into use.
The charity says the new ramps will make the centre safer and easier to access for all visitors, particularly those with mobility needs.
Today, the site has been transformed into a thriving community and heritage hub, featuring a museum, café, event space and a wide range of displays covering military history, wildlife, sensory experiences and memorial areas.
Organisers say the latest improvements are another step in ensuring the historic site can be enjoyed by as many people as possible while preserving its legacy.
