The RSPCA East Winch Wildlife Centre in East Winch is set to open its doors to the public for a special event on Sunday, 27 August. Visitors will have a rare chance to see behind the scenes at the wildlife hospital, speak with staff and take a sneaky peek at some of the animals. The centre used to hold an open day once every two years, but has not hosted one since 2017 due to the pandemic, so this really is a rare opportunity for visitors to see and learn more about what happens inside a busy working RSPCA wildlife hospital.
There are currently 300 animals being cared for at the centre including seals, owls, hedgehogs, ducklings, and fledgling garden birds.
Evangalous is the Manager at the centre and is excited about the day.
