Toilets Get A Revamp

Two toilet blocks on the West Norfolk coast have had a £15,000 improvement.

The Seagate and Old Hunstanton blocks have been repainted, new signage put up, and some replacement toilets, sinks, fixtures and fittings.

Brian Long, the borough councillor responsible for corporate services, said: “This was paid for by the Welcome Back fund, which includes European Regional Development Fund funding, to reduce economic and social disparity. It was awarded to Local Authorities in recognition of the impact of Covid-19 on the local high street and the need to support local businesses by creating a safe and welcoming environment.

“As Hunstanton prepares for a busy summer season, when many people are considering a stay-cation, I’m pleased that these well used toilets will be more welcoming to residents and visitors.”
