Police are appealing for witnesses following a serious crash on the A47 at Narborough on Saturday evening.
Emergency services were called to the scene at around 6.50pm after a collision involving a Volkswagen Touran and a BMW. Both drivers sustained serious injuries and were taken to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital for treatment.
The driver of the Touran, a man in his 40s, was later transferred to Addenbrooke’s Hospital, where he remains in a life-threatening condition. The BMW driver, a woman in her 20s, is still receiving hospital care.
It comes just days after another serious multi-vehicle collision on the same stretch of the A47, raising fresh concerns about safety along the route.
