The chance to browse beautiful butterflies in a West Norfolk beauty spot is going to be a must-visit summer attraction.
A Butterfly Meadow opens in the gardens of Sandringham from July 16 to September 1 and it is all in a good cause.
It is a collaboration between the Queen’s Royal estate, The Norfolk Hospice Tapping House and local craftsman Nigel Barnett, and helps mark the Platinum Jubilee.
The meadow aims to be similar to the poppy display at the Tower of London and will see specially-made butterflies measuring approximately six inches wide fixed to a three-foot high steel pole to allow for easy planting.
Each one will be painted blue to mirror a species of butterfly often found in Norfolk – the silver-studded blue butterfly.
They were each purchased to raise money for the hospice and were a way of remembering a loved one.
