Police are patrolling the parts of West Norfolk people have reported feeling most unsafe.
They have been identifying these areas using the online Street Safe system to help reassure those living and working in crime hotspots, as well as following on from the safety concerns nationally after the murder of Sarah Everard.
Chief Constable Paul Sanford has been out patrolling with King’s Lynn officers and said: “We are taking action based on the information fed back directly from communities. We know a visible presence provides reassurance and is an effective way of reducing crime. The Street Safe tool is running until at least the end of this month so we would encourage people to continue to let us know the areas they feel are unsafe in our county.
“This initiative will help us to ensure that our time patrolling is spent in the areas where it will have the greatest impact for local residents.”
