The construction work for improvements to Wisbech Market Place is almost complete.
It has been finished two weeks earlier than scheduled and is now fully reopened, with just the Wisbech Town Council crest to be added to the central area.
Deputy Mayor, Cllr Peter Human, said “The appearance of Wisbech Market Place – located in the commercial and social “heart” of the town – and the introduction of new and improved facilities, have enhanced its use as both a trading area and community space.”
The enhancement scheme includes new paving, benches, waste bins, planters and other decorative features, and the council hopes it will help improve the vibrancy and vitality of the town.
