Plans are gathering pace for Lewis Kerr’s March testimonial at King’s Lynn with old rival Danny King getting involved.
Ipswich favourite King is a regular rival of Lynn’s but is joining Chris Harris, Peter Kildemand and Niels-Kristian Iversen for the meeting on Sunday March 20 at 4pm, with more names from the new-look Stars line-up also expected to take part.
Lewis said: “Danny is someone I get on really well with and have a lot of respect for him. We had one season in the same team at Newcastle a few years back and built a relationship up from there.
“To win a British title is not an easy thing to do and that night Danny did it would have been a special moment for him in such difficult conditions as well. I think he has a lot to offer the sport still and can beat anyone on his day.
“He had a great season last season at Poole in the Championship and I’m sure will be just as competitive in 2022.”
Meanwhile work is continuing on the Minors and Brady Stars fixture list. They will face Ipswich and Peterborough in League Cup meetings before starting their Premiership schedule, with a round of the Premiership Pairs competition with each of the top-flight clubs also to be organised.
