Home Instead Team in Norfolk and Cambridge Embarks on a 5 Million Steps Challenge for Dementia Care
In a heartfelt initiative, the dedicated team at Home Instead in Norfolk and Cambridge will be taking on a collective challenge to walk 5 million steps throughout February. This ambitious endeavour aims to raise funds for a noble cause – providing a specially designed dementia table to a local dementia cafe. The Home Instead team invites friends, family, and colleagues to join them in making a difference. Supporters can contribute by sponsoring the steps taken or making a direct donation toward the cause. To streamline the process and centralise donations, the team has created a ‘Just Giving Link’ for easy access and to track all contributions efficiently.
The funds raised through this initiative will directly support the procurement of dementia-friendly tables for a local dementia cafe. These tables serve as inclusive spaces, bringing a sense of community and support for individuals living with dementia. Home Instead is proud to undertake this challenge and invites the community to rally behind them, ensuring that those impacted by dementia have access to essential resources that enhance their quality of life.

Spotting Ovarian Cancer early
Ovarian cancer is a group of diseases that originates in the ovaries, or in the related areas of the fallopian tubes and the peritoneum. When ovarian cancer is found in its early stages, treatment works best. Ovarian cancer often causes signs and symptoms, so it is important to pay attention to your body and know what is normal for you. Symptoms may be caused by something other than cancer, but the only way to know is to see your doctor, nurse, or other health care professional. Dianne in Downham is now cancer-free with no evidence of disease, she is also doing her best to highlight the importance of visiting a doctor if you are concerned.
